Position Title: Events Manager
Reporting To: Senior Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs
Location: Washington, D.C.
The Events Manager will collaborate with various departments across the organization to plan and execute events to raise ESA’s profile and reputation. This position will oversee the entire lifecycle of events including concepting, coordinating with vendors, supporting the event onsite, and working with Finance to process vendor invoices.
The Events Manager will be responsible for sourcing venues, managing contracts, guest registrations, and all event details including being the main point of contact for third-party vendors, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, and promotional material distribution. This candidate will be collaborating with internal and external teams to promote, budget track, and source video game systems and any other tech-related needs for each event.
Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of experience as an events planner with the ability to travel both domestically and internationally. This person will have excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with all-level professionals while having great energy and passion for managing successful events. Ideal candidates can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of the video game industry is a plus.
