Ubisoft Young Player Accounts

Ubisoft is deeply committed to ensuring that all players can enjoy their games in a safe, enriching and empowering environment.

To achieve this goal, Ubisoft has implemented safety settings that are tailored to the age of every player determined during account creation:

  • Child accounts (ages 7 to digital age of consent – age 13 in the U.S.) are designed with strict protection and active parental involvement.
  • Teen accounts (below 18) come with default safety restrictions, offering more independence while still prioritizing safety. These settings can be customized by the teen player as they grow in confidence and digital responsibility.
  • Adult accounts (above 18) can benefit from the same protective settings if they want it, but by default, the online experience is open.

Ubisoft child accounts includes built-in robust protective settings with parental involvement built into the foundation of the account’s design. Through the Ubisoft Account Management site, parents or legal guardians can access the Family Center, where they can adjust settings and monitor account activity such as:

  • Filters and restrictions for voice and text chat to reduce exposure to unwanted interactions or harassment.
  • In-game purchases, which are blocked by default. Parents can choose to allow spending within personally defined limits.
  • Privacy settings that exempt child accounts from marketing tracking and third-party data sharing.
  • Parents are required to approve new friend requests and can remove any friends that raise concerns. A child’s activity is hidden by default, and friends requests are disabled.
  • Monthly activity reports that summarize gaming sessions, purchases, and social interactions. Parents are also notified in real time whenever a purchase is completed.

Ubisoft is actively working to develop and implement the most up-to-date safety protocols and restrictions. Read more about how to create and manage young player accounts here.
