In November of 2025, the company announced that users who want to communicate on Roblox will be required to confirm their age via facial age estimation, ID verification, or verified parent consent.
The platform designs advanced AI moderation systems, such as Roblox Sentinel, for early detection of potential grooming in chat conversations, and Roblox PII Classifier, to detect and block attempts to move users off-platform. In the first half of 2025, Sentinel helped Roblox file 1,200 reports with the NCMEC.
