Career 

Heather joined ESA as Chief Financial Officer in 2025. A seasoned senior leader and finance executive, she brings more than 30 years of experience across nonprofit groups, corporate companies, and public accounting firms — overseeing finance, administrative, operations, and strategic functions while leading teams in organizations of various sizes. 

Prior to joining ESA, Heather served as Chief Finance and Administrative Officer for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where she modernized the organization’s financial infrastructure, advised multiple boards, and led initiatives involving compliance, risk management, and crisis planning. She also held senior leadership roles at the National PTA and the National School Boards Association, helping transform finance and operations systems and develop strong teams. 

Earlier in her career, Heather worked in public accounting and industry, including roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cherry Bekaert, and Siemens. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified association executive (CAE) and has volunteered her expertise to several charitable organizations.
