Entertainment Software Association Applauds Confirmation of Kathi Vidal to United States Patent and Trademark Office

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which serves as the voice and advocate for the U.S. video game industry, congratulates Kathi Vidal, unanimously confirmed Tuesday, April 5, 2022 by the United States Senate as Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

“We commend the Biden administration and the Senate for the smooth confirmation of Kathi Vidal to Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO,” ESA President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis said. “Under her leadership, the USPTO will continue to safeguard intellectual property protections vital to the video game industry. We look forward to working with Under Secretary Vidal in the years ahead.”
