E3 2019 convened in Los Angeles last week, featuring exciting announcements from companies like Nintendo and Microsoft, jaw-dropping floor displays, and–of course–thousands of gamers coming together to experience the premier event for computer and video games. Approximately 66,100 attendees enjoyed the show, which offered exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming titles, and unforgettable moments–some might say “breathtaking.”

While the event highlights the biggest names in the industry each year, E3 also provides a glimpse at emerging talent and innovations. E3 2019 featured more than 200 exhibitors, approximately a quarter of which were exhibiting at the event for the first time.

E3 Coliseum’s back-to-back schedule gave a colorful behind-the-scenes look at the most anticipated games and announcements of the year, as well as an appearance by visionary tech icon Elon Musk. Photo and video from the three days of the show are available on Multivu and Getty Images.

The show dominated social media for the week, generating more than 3.7 million conversations on Twitter and nearly 5 million Facebook engagements, with 1.2 million viewers tuning in to discussions at the E3 Coliseum.

ESA CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis also announced the winner of the E3 College Game Competition. Featuring the future of video game industry talent from college programs across the country, five teams featured their games on the E3 show floor, and a panel of industry professionals and experts selected Drexel University’s Sons of Ra as this year’s winner.
