“The Entertainment Software Association congratulates Congress and the Administration for their bipartisan efforts in passing and signing the TAKE IT DOWN Act (S.4569) into law. The video game industry is committed to creating spaces that are welcoming for all and legislation such as this serves to advance that mission, while making a clear statement that online platforms should never be used to harm others. We commend the bill sponsors – Sens. Cruz (R-TX) and Klobuchar (D-MN) and Reps. Salazar (R-FL) and Dean (D-PA) – for their leadership in pushing this legislation forward and thank President Trump for his support of policies that promote online safety.”
