The video game industry is pursuing many initiatives to improve game play accessibility, and communities of gamers are working to assist disabled persons to enjoy video games as well.
“Strong intellectual property protection in the digital world is more important than ever for video game companies to maintain their technological edge and to continue to contribute billions of dollars to the US economy. ESA applauds USTR and the US government interagency for their guidance and direction in protecting the incentives for video game companies to innovate and the ability to reap the rewards of their hard work.”
This year’s World Intellectual Property (IP) Day is on April 26, 2023. This year’s theme, Women and IP: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity, honors trailblazing women and raises awareness of their representation in IP.
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) this month filed its official comments with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) for inclusion in the 2022 Review of Notorious Markets for Counterfeiting and Piracy (Notorious Markets List).
