The Entertainment Software Association

As the US trade association for the video game industry, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) seeks opportunities to amplify its member companies’ commitment to trust and safety. The ESA works to proactively build partnerships, educate third parties and promote collaboration.

For example, the ESA partners with groups like National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), Games for Change, Raising Good Gamers, Safer Internet Day (SID) and Fair Play Alliance to facilitate information sharing and collaboration.

The ESA hosts educational sessions for the public, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss important issues related to trust and safety. Check out this webinar featuring industry partners NCMECTake This and the ESRB, and this webinar featuring Riot Games.

The ESA also works to improve communication among its member companies, government authorities and third-party organizations. For instance, the ESA hosts online safety webinars for its members—featuring speakers from federal law enforcement authorities among other entities—and provides opportunities for open dialogue between its members.
