Position Title: Intern, Government Affairs

Reporting To: Senior Director, Federal Government Affairs

Location: Washington, D.C.

Position Summary:
The Government Affairs Intern will help support the Federal and State Government Affairs teams (FGA and SGA) by reviewing and tracking legislation, conducting research, and monitoring conference calls, webinars, and hearings. Assignments will surround the gaming industry, trade associations, and multi-state and federal public policy environment.

Duties of the Government Affairs Intern include reviewing and updating federal and state legislative trackers, and providing outlooks on upcoming hearings, markups, and briefings taking place on Capitol Hill and/or key priority states. This position will also monitor assigned federal and state hearings, assist with event planning, and research specific topics relevant to the industry.

Qualified candidates can manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail, work effectively with a team, can meet deadlines, and are self-motivated with strong communication and writing skills.

This position pays $17.50/hour. The Summer Internship Program will commence for 8 weeks from June 3rd – July 31st. ESA interns are required to be in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
