Position Title: Intern, Communications and Public Affairs

Reporting To: Senior Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs

Location: Washington, D.C.

Position Summary:

The Communications and Public Affairs (C&PA) Intern will provide support to the C&PA team as it pertains to media, data entry, writing projects, and will work under the guidance of the C&PA staff.

Duties of the C&PA Intern include monitoring social media and news coverage as it pertains to industry issues and producing reports to the team. This position will also provide support to in-person events, assist with conducting internet research in respect to ESA products, and aid in projects and online community management and publishing.

Qualified candidates will have strong writing and time management skills, are comfortable using social media platforms, are proficient in Microsoft Office, and can work against tight deadlines. This position requires a minimum of 15 hours a week, of which, at least half the total weekly hours being completed in-office, Tuesday-Thursday, and must be able to work for three consecutive months.
