Washington, DC – December 5, 2013 – The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which represents the U.S. computer and video game industry, today released the following statement in response to House passage of The Innovation Act.
“House passage of H.R. 3309, The Innovation Act, is a strong step forward for enhancing innovation and job creation. The video game industry already engages and entertains consumers with world-leading game products and services. By addressing predatory patent lawsuits with this legislation, we are better able to invest in providing high-earning American jobs.
“We encourage the Senate to pass this important legislation and stand ready to work with all stakeholders in strengthening the ecosystem for ingenuity and growth."
