Anti-Piracy Intern
The Anti-Piracy Intern will be responsible for coordinating with ESA Anti-Piracy staff on case projects, maintaining databases, and identifying video game piracy. The Anti-Piracy Intern will report to the Manager, Internet Enforcement and work closely with other members of the Anti-Piracy Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Anti-Piracy staff on case projects.
- Maintain databases of case information in Excel, Access, and other proprietary databases.
- Assist in identifying piracy on the internet and pirated game product.
- Other special projects and tasks as needed.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft's Office.
- Strong knowledge of the Internet and its various protocols (websites, chat rooms, P2P programs, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of video games.
- Some computer programming experience.
- An interest in intellectual property law is a plus.
This paid position can be either full time or part time, and the ESA is extremely flexible when it comes to class and school schedules/commitments.
